DID YOU MISS A MEETING?

Visit www.rotary6990.org to find a club to make up an absence.

What a great opportunity this can be to visit another club and meet new and interesting members who are business owners and community leaders.  They might be interested in the services that you provide.

For online make-ups:

http://www.rotary.org/newsroom/downloadcenter/pdfs/eclub_list.pdf

Attendance credit for a 30-minute interactive club Web site activity. This offers an alternative to making up a meeting at another club. To earn an attendance credit, Rotarians usually log on to the site, read up on a range of subjects, post comments, and submit a form to the club secretary.

For make-ups anywhere around the world when traveling internationally:

“HERSTORY, BEYOND JULIA'S DAUGHTERS
 AND MORE”

The Women's History Coalition was founded in 1983 by a group of women in Miami-Dade County, Florida. Its primary purpose is to sponsor special programs and events as well as coordinate and promote those of other community groups during Women's History Month which is nationally celebrated each March. It also augments other projects relating to Women's History throughout the year.
The Coalition has a multi-ethnic Board of Directors elected by its membership annually and all its programs are accomplished by volunteers. Activities have been supported by members, community contributions and grants from the County and many community agencies have provided support services.

Their logo is named "Julia" in honor of Julia S. Tuttle,

the founder of the City of Miami. It is through the efforts of Evelyn Shea that the statue this logo represents was selected to give to our WOMEN OF IMPACT.

A reception honoring Women of Impact will be held March 1st, 2007 at UM’s Convocation Hall. It is a Women's History Coalition event celebrating Women's History Month.

For BEYOND JULIA'S DAUGHTERS nomination forms, telephone Ruth Braddock, at 305-251-8746.
