Our Speaker Today: Weston Rayfield

An award-winning artist all his life, Weston attended Kendall School for the Arts in Grand Rapids, Michigan and spent most of his career in advertising. As an entrepreneur; he owned several companies, including a national award-winning printing companyand advertising agency. Now, he has given all that up to live his life's dream, taking a three-year sabbatical, to pursue a career in writing and painting. After being self-employed for over 20 years, he is now traveling across the country in an RV, with his book, artwork, and story: Exhibiting his art, visiting people, talking and blogging to fans about his experiences. WestonRayfield.com
Weston spoke to us about his journey, and he "made it to the top" professionally twice, and lost it all twice. He was in a successful advertising business, and when that business went under, he reinvented himself with a very successful transportation business. Weston had to get out of that business for healty reasons, and decided to pursue his dream of being an artist and an author. He published a novel, "Marathon Tool", and since the publisher did not have money to promote a new author, Weston set out on a journey to promote his novel nationwide. He has traveled 37,000 miles in the last nineteen months, speaking to many Rotary groups. Weston has a new book that will be published soon, focusing on the importance of buyin American made products. He also showed us some of his artwork.
