Stephanie Goldberg Glazer, President
Your Personal Manager, Inc.

Stephanie talked about the secrets to managing our time in order to find and organize a life when you are working long hours and have no time for activities

Your Personal Manager helps clients to balance the mundane and time consuming tasks allowing them to free up time.

Her company is on-call office help, organizing offices, closets, or an entire house.  It is full service concierge desk, paying your bills on time, creating and maintaining a budget, planning a party, a meeting or a corporate event.  They will run errands, wait for repair people, return business calls, file paperwork, gift shop, and arrange your travel plans.  They are a small business’ administrative outsourcing.  She assists with packing and moving.  They help get rid of the items you no longer need, or are duplicates, so you do not pay to move unnecessary items.

Stephanie graduated from Wash University in St. Louis.

The recycling buzzwords are everywhere in the media:  “go green”, “save money, while saving the planet.”

Organization can equal going green.  Small things matter such as printing out emails.  A solution for one client was to implement a $10 software program that is able to store emails as PDFs with an online backup system.

REDUCE PAPER:  Scan your cherished paperwork – from school papers to your first jobs.

REDUCE PLASTIC: Use one reusable bag instead of taking plastic bags from stores.

Plastic bottles – number 7 on the bottom – can’t put them in the microwave causing cancer.

REPURPOSE things – like a shoebox can be used to store holiday ribbons and bows.

Get rid of the things you don’t need to find sanity in your life. Par down a little bit to be more comfortable in your surroundings.Things pile up and you get overwhelmed.  Reduce a little bit of stuff everyday.

Storage facilities cost $200 / month. They are abused because people collect too much stuff and they don’t even have a contents list.

Establish a filing system.Color code your files.Vary colors based on: clients, vendors, staff, personal, bills.

Any kind of organizational project can be beneficial but you must participate in the organization of your stuff. You’re guided in the decision-making.

When are your piles out of control? When the stuff on the office desk was the “old” five year old info and the new paperwork was stacked in the kitchen and the dining room table.

Sign up for electronic billing – as long as you know there is sufficient balance in your bank account. A discussion ensued about secure payments online. The consensus was to pay through the bank’s automatic pay feature.

A personal assistant adds time to your day – but you must trust with the assistant with your accounts and secrets. All of her employees sign a confidentiality agreement. Your personal info is kept as if it were her personal info.
