Our Speaker Today:
Leo Sarmiento "Parrot Jungle Island"
This year will mark the 75th anniversary of Parrot Jungle. Parrot Jungle was sold in 1988 and moved to a new location on Watson Island. Jungle Island is more than a zoo with much more than just parrots, there are many other attractions for people of all ages. Some of the most popular attractions are a Liger (half lion, half tiger) and the worlds most lethal bird, the Cassowary. At Jungle Islands you can get a close up look at many animals and there are also opportunities to interact with the animals, offering a unique experience. A new exhibit will be opening this Friday and for the first time it will be streamed live. Other popular attractions include the Lemur encounter and VIP tour. Jungle Island also offers catering for private events, small or large.
Jungle Island is open 365 days a year. Special shows and events can extend the regular hours which are Monday - Friday 10am to 5pm, Saturday and Sunday 10am to 6pm. It is located between Downtown Miami and South Beach at 1111 Parrot Jungle Trail, Miami, Fl 33132.
