- Our Holiday Party will be on Saturday, December 10th at the Elks Club - Please save the date, we will have a great time!
- Diana Phillips is doing better, she would like to have visitors, still at St. Ann's on Quail Roost Driive
- Karen Vassell will be coordinating the wreath project. Each member will be asked to sell 4 wreaths as a holiday fundraiser. The 22 inch wreaths are $26 and the 28 inch wreaths are $36. They ship to everywhere in the U.S.
- January 6th is the 50th anniversary party for the Rotary Club of Nassau. We have special rates at the Atlantis Resort, see Karen for more information.
- Tuesday, December 6th is the South Miami Commission Meeting that will decide the fate of the fees for our Art Festival, please attend
- Mario Mariano Rotary of Napoli President informed us that 30 members of his club will be visiting Miami and would like to meet with our Club. They will be at Yuca for Dinner of Dec 2.
- Rotary Scholarship Reported that Alexander Michel, Jaquana Anderson, and D'various Wright are all doing well. They Maintain GPA's (unweighted) of 3.0, 2.83, and 2.83 respectively.

Attendance credit for a 30-minute interactive club Web site activity offers an alternative to making up a meeting at another club.
To earn this credit, Rotarians log on to the site, read up on a range of subjects, post comments, & submit a form to the club secretary.
How to do a Make-Up On-Line via Rotary eClub One?
Perfect attendance is now possible for every Rotarian with computer access. Rotary’s eClub One is a full-service online charted Rotary Club. Meetings operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week. What an easy way to make up for a meeting that you have missed! During the last Rotary year, Rotary eClub One welcomed more than 120,000 visitors from 161 countries. Of these, about 800 per week participated in one of eClub One’s meeting programs and applied for make-up credit.

Our Speaker Today:
John Crotty, Orange Bowl Committee
John informed us that the Orange Bowl has been part of the community for over 78 years. He is currently the Executive Vice President of Colliers International (commercial real estate) and is also a radio broadcaster for the Miami Heat. He got into that because he is a former professional basketball player.
The Orange Bowl committee is a non profit organization that has a mission to 1) Bring tourism and economic development to Miami 2) Events to entertain the residents 3) Sense of community to benefit the youth of our community. There are many events leading up to the Orange Bowl some of them are 1) Metro PCS Basketball Classic 2) International Sailing Regatta 3) Swimming competition in Key Largo 4) Stand up paddle board competition 5) Orange Drive 6) Count down to Ft. Lauderdale 7) Tennis Tournament.
The Committee also oversees over $1million dollars of benefit put back into the community in the form of scholarships and youth football leagues.
