The Rotary Club of South Miami’s vision is to engage outstanding business and civic leaders in life-long learning, fellowship and service. Originally founded in 1950, the Rotary Club of South Miami has become a vibrant, integral part of the South Miami Community. Our Rotary Foundation was created to support the activities of the Rotary Club of South Miami and the ideals of Rotary International.

Our members raise funds throughout the year to support our Rotary Foundation’s many charitable projects, which include the well-known South Miami Rotary Art Festival. Our art festival, which would have been in its 36th year, not only creates a space for art and community to thrive; it also funds college scholarships for South Miami students to attend New World School of the Arts, as well as other local, national, and international service projects.

Like most major events, the art festival was cancelled this past year, presenting an opportunity for us to find novel ways to fund these worthy students. We ask for your generous contribution so that we may continue supporting our various local projects, which in addition to college scholarships include sponsoring local swimming lessons for underprivileged children, our Locals Feeding Locals program, dictionary donations overseas, and more.

Help support the Rotary Club of South Miami by participating in our Raffle. We will be selling only 400 tickets at $10 each. You could win either Series 6 iWatch Silver Aluminum Case with Sport Band 40MM, 128 GB iPad, AirPods w/ Charging Case.

Our members and community thank you!

More about the South Miami Rotary Foundation:

The South Miami Rotary Foundation, Inc. was established as a 501(c)(3) in 1993. Our foundation funds college scholarships for South Miami students to New World School of the Arts, as well as other local, national, and international service projects in support of our mission.

These service projects include:

  • Dictionary donations to local schools and also to our fellow Rotary Club in Kiev
  • Volunteering with feeding the homeless
  • Be a Santa to a Senior: our Rotarians collect requested gifts for Miami-Dade’s senior citizens.
  • Bike MS: keeping the participants hydrated and fed
  • South Miami Twilight 5K
  • Volunteering at Tropical Audubon Society
  • Swimming lessons for local children in South Miami

Over the pandemic, the Foundation co-funded the “Locals Feeding Locals” initiative in partnership with Branches South Miami to address hunger relief and invest in South Miami food truck entrepreneurs. The South Miami Rotary Club worked with Miami Island Grill and Dukes and Dingle Food Truck to distribute 150 hot meals, free of charge. Community Activist, Kim Davis, was with us each week acting as consultant and volunteer coordinator.

Our largest annual event, the South Miami Rotary Art Festival, whose proceeds fund college scholarships for local students and other local, national, as well as international service projects, is nationally celebrated bringing together a collection of talented artists from all parts of the United States and Canada. It began as a small show with only 25 booths, it has grown into one of Miami-Dade's most anticipated events.

Our artists come from all over the United States and Canada. Over the years the show has engaged local musicians to play during this juried event. Recently named a Sunshine Artist 200 Best Show in America 2018, having already achieved the ArtFairSourceBook.com to the AFSB Blue Chip 100 Fine Art Event, it is clearly one of Miami-Dade’s most anticipated events.
