The Rotary Club of South Miami held our first ( and hopefully not last) South Miami Garage sale, teaming up with South Miami neighbors, and thanks to the volunteering efforts from our club and our neighbors, ( both in supplying, cataloging, and selling the items) this turned out to be a big success! And re-engaged our club with the South Miami community!
It's fundraisers like these that further enable us to be able to give back to the community and this event would not have happened without the tireless efforts of our resident Super Rotarian Mari Chael! |

Tropical AudubonMarch 18, 2017 - The Rotary Club of South Miami dug trenches, connected pvc pipes, and installed sprinklers for South Miami’s Tropical Audubon Society! This was truly service above self benefiting the South Miami community!

Migrant Worker FamilyMarch 26, 2017- Homestead FL, the South Miami High School Interact Club joined with the Rotary Club of South Miami in a moving Migrant Worker Family Grocery Bag Outreach!

Great Strides Walk Miami!
April 2, 2017 - in an effort to raise funds to find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis! Our core volunteer group was the walking teams' letters L-Z registration's desk!

Citizen's Stand Down
May 12, 2017 - The Rotary Club of South Miami joined the City of Miami & fellow Rotarians from Miami, Brickell, Coral Gables & Biscayne in this Outreach effort that helped hundreds of homeless!

SafeSpace ProjectMay 13, 2017 - The Rotary Club of South Miami partnered with the Rotary Club of Miami-Brickell the Saturday before Mother's Day, to help with the SafeSpace program which was created to help women and children of domestic violence.
Homeless Outreach
July 23, 2017 - The Rotary Club of South Miami not distributed food and water to the Homeless of Downt0wn Miami, but we also did a City Street Clean up!

Health in the Hood
May 27, 2017 - South Miami Rotarians built a community garden with Health in the Hood in Overtown along with volunteers from multiple organizations!
Conservation Work at Matheson
August 5, 2017 - Partnering up with the Urban Paradise Guild, the Rotary Club of South Miami, nearly eradicated the invasive Air Potato population at Matheson Hammocks!

Santa for a Senior!
Our big finale for 2016 was in supporting Rotarian and past President Gabriel De Armas Jr and Home Instead Senior Care, Miami in spreading holiday love and cheer to Miami's seniors in the 12th annual Be a Santa to a Senior gift on December 2nd!
